FAQs

Please ‘Communicate With Us’ for more information regarding our services and a comprehensive schedule of fees.

As speech pathologists, we provide a diverse range of assessments and therapy for our clients. Therefore, our fees are dependent upon the type of assessment (e.g. speech, complex school aged language, preschool language, literacy or swallowing), as well as the duration and location of therapy. Please bear in mind that therapy which takes place at day-care, school or in the home setting will incur additional travel costs.

Yes! We can provide telehealth as an ongoing platform for services, or as a back-up alternative for when life throws its curve balls and you are unable to attend your regular clinic appointment. If these COVID times have taught us anything, it has been the importance of flexibility of intervention methods, as well as the prioritisation of the health of our clients, their families and also team members.

Communication Buzz are able to offer private health insurance rebates for eligible clients. Please check with your insurance provider to determine whether speech pathology services are included in your policy.

Clients identifying as ATSI may be eligible for 5 rebated services in addition to the five rebated services under the CDM per calendar year. A referral form for allied health services must be completed by a GP following a health check consistent with the ATSI health checks.

A referral from a GP is not necessary to see a Speech Pathologist. Referrals can be made by the individual seeking service, parents, teachers, medical and other health professionals. Simply ‘communicate with us’ via phone or email and we can arrange the most suitable assessment and/or services specific to yours or your child’s intervention needs.

Communication Buzz are currently able to provide intervention to NDIS participants who are either Plan Managed or Self Managed.

Complex Care Needs/Chronic Medical Condition Eligible clients may be provided with a CDM plan referral from their GP. This provides up to five subsidised sessions per calendar year. Your GP will determine whether you are eligible for this scheme.
